Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Date Importing Calendar

I'm new to Wordpress and Atahualpa. My project is to re-design my Bridge Club's web site using these. The one problem I have at present is how to import the existing Results Calendar (Php and CSS based). This allows clicking on any date and seeing the results for that date (HTML files, possibly up to 3). It took me a long time to develop this solution, so I'm keen to continue with it, if possible. Any advice would be much appreciated.

is this 'Results Calendar' a product or something you personally developed? If it is a product it would be helpful to have a link to it.

In either case, you will probable have to make some tweaks to it. Where is the data stored? in a DB? what is the url of the current site so someone could see it in action.

I developed it from: http://www.triconsole.com/php/calendar_datepicker.php. My current site is: http://www.sobell-bridge.org.uk. The results files are HTML and stored in a folder on the server.

You could create an html page with the calendar then use an iframe in WordPress to embed it. Using an iframe in WordPress will require a plugin.

You might also want to at least check out some of the calendar plugins for WordPress just to see if they would meet your needs or perhaps work better for you.

Thanks, lmilesw, I've done a quick test with an iframe and I think that is going to work just fine.
