I want the excerpts to be shown in 1 or 2 or more column layout as specified by the user.
In post and excerpts tab when excerpt is selected I want the option "no of excerpt columns to be shown" and the number of characters in excerpts to be shown.

I want the tags, categories, homepage, search results to be seen in 1 or 2 or more column layout.

I want to know is it possible to do this.

That's possible for sure but it would mean to rewrite the whole layout. Nothing I can do in a forum post I'm afraid.
