Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

full screen gallery does not work

Hi I am new here.

Today I tried many plugins that may modify the shortcode [gallery] like jetpack carousel and many other carousel plugins, and I tried galleria and fulscreen galleria, but none of them changed the behavior how [gallery] is parsed. It remains at showing the thumbnail.

If I change the theme to wordpress's default 2013 and the behavior seemed changed, but I really want to use Montezuma. So I wonder if Montezuma changed [gallery] code or if there is any carousel plugin that works with Montezuma.

PS. I want something that can show a slider of a few images I pick in my media library...

Thanks in advance!

what version of Montezuma and WP?
What is the URL the gallery is on?
are you using it in a post or on a page?
which plugin are you using?

what do you mean 'seemed' changed?

so use a slider plugin.

I am using Montezuma 1.1.9.

Under Montezuma, the [gallery] code gives you a list of thumbnails, and when you click them, a popup box is shown with the thumbnail itself at the center.

Under the default theme, when you click the thumbnails you are redirected to the attachment url.

I've tried all the slider / galleria / carousel plug-ins I can find with Montezuma, but none of them can change the "popup box with thumbnail at the center" behavior. All I want is that in the box, a larger picture can replace the by-default thumbnail.

The popup box given by "NextGEN Gallery" plugin gets wrong layout under Montezuma. The margin (padding?) is too large to split the box into a few disconnected parts.

So I wonder if there is any slider plugin proved compatible with Montezuma, or where I can change the default behavior.

You can shut it off. see this thread
