Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

[SOLVED] How to get rid of white space in 'rounded corner' drop down sub menu

Hi,

I am trying to find out how to get rid of the extra white space that is showing on my drop down menu's.

My site is www.theadventurebite.com

The only thing I modified was changing to the rounded corner theme a while back and this has been a problem since that change.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much!

Dani

do you mean the fact that it is not aligned with the main menu item? If so, remember you are using a Cascasing Style Sheet, so the styling for an element carries down to it's children. If you only want it to effect the parent, then you need to add another css selector/rule to negate the style you put in for the parent.

Hi Juggledad,

I guess I am not sure the answer to your question. I am okay with the drop down being staggered to the side a little when it comes down the only thing that I am trying to get rid of is the small amount of white that seems to be connected to each button. I am most concerned with the stuff on the left side because it is so big, but would love to get rid of the tiny amount on the right side as well.

Maybe this visual will help me explain better:

that's the rounded corners - if you want straight edges on the children pages you need to use CSS to set the rounding off for the children.

Thanks lmilesw! That did the trick!

I tried adding it in part way through where it looked like it would fit in the CSS inserts and it didn't work. But then I tried just adding it right at the top before anything else and it did the trick!

Thanks so much!
