Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

i posted this on Wordpress but it's still unresolved

I "Filezilla'd" an image to /public_html/wp-admin/images

I have tried to display the image on a page using various URLs and it never appears.
Latest attempt is this:
<img src=/public_html/images/ciancakes.jpg" />

I have tried this format advised in another post:
<img src="http://www.yourdomainname.com/images/imagename.jpg">

I even tried the absolute URL.

None work - what am I doing wrong?
(Something embarrassingly simple I bet)

You need wp-admin as part of your path if you upload to that folder.

Also, you should NOT load anything there. It will get wiped out when you upgrade WordPress. You should put things in the wp-content folder

using the "insert an image " in Wordpress I get this incredibly long url:

<td width="12%">[caption id="attachment_429" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Spaceship In Lancashire"]<a href="http://formbyfocus.co.uk/?attachment_id=429" rel="attachment wp-att-429"><img src="http://formbyfocus.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/photosdec10-023-150x150.jpg" alt="Spaceship In Lancashire ?" title="photosdec10 023" width="150" height="150" class="size-thumbnail wp-image-429" /></a>[/caption]</td>

I guess this is how it is! ?

I'm not sure how or where you are doing an insert, but the url of the image is in the <img...> so in your example the image si located at
HTML Code:
http://formbyfocus.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/photosdec10-023-150x150.jpg
and If I put that in the address bar of my browser I see an antenna
