Is it possible to set the menu to be exactly the same width as the header image (960px) and remove the gap as as seen here? http://oldsthelenschurch.evodev.net/

I have tried setting a fixed tile width e.g. ul.rMenu li a {width:86px; text-align:center;} but this still falls short at 86px and overshoots at 87px. It also has the disadvantage of needing to adjust the menu item titles to fit.

Is there a way of doing this dynamically? Alternatively how can I let the menu colour run into the page border as per this example? http://www.lewespriory.org.uk/
