Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

I have set my background of my widgets with an opacity filter. My widget text is faded as well.
what code could i use to circumvent the opacity in the widget text, and where would i put it?
as well images i place in, such as an image in a text widget, are faded.

When you assign an opacity to an element, the enclosed elements get that opacity also.
try changing the opacity to 70%

Hi there,

Is there a way to have ONLY the background transparent and NOT all the enclosed elements? I am trying to have a layout background colour with

filter:alpha(opacity=80);
-moz-opacity:.80;
opacity:0.8;

...and I have entered this into ATO - Layout Container Style

How can I stop everything going transparent that is within that area?

You can't. The widgets are in the sidebar and the opacity applys to the sidebar so everything inside gets it too. It's just the way it works

Thank you! I have now solved my opacity issue by using a transparent background image. Happy.
