I just started using Wordpress and installed the Montezuma theme. I wanted to change some things:
1. replace the Site Title and Tagline with a logo ( a picture)
2. change the colors of the background, from white to another color
3. change the colors of all the fonts, from black/blue to another color

I know I have to use the Montezuma Options screen, but I don't know what I have to change. I have some basic HTML/CSS and PHP knowledge.

If someone can help I appreciate it!

you will need to edit the sub template 'header.php'

2. change the colors of the background, from white to another color

you can add a 'background-color' to the 'body' in the 'content.css' file

3. change the colors of all the fonts, from black/blue to another color

This is more difficult to answer since the re are many places you can change the color depending on if it is a link or the caption of an image or a page title that is a link vers a page title when it is not a link.

You can start by adding a color to the 'body' and that will be the default. After that I would suggest learning how to use the FireBug extension of FireFox to examine the page elements and see the CSS already applied.

I am new to wordpress. I am trying to replace the sitetitle with an image. I changed the code in the subtemplate header.php file but nothing changed on the website. It this the correct file to modify? The path is "themes/montezuma/admin/default-templates/sub-templates/header.php"

Yo need to edit the sub template in the theme options. You don't edit the theme code directly
