A line of spam text has appeared just below the footer on all pages of this site. http://brain-matters.org/donate/. I have akismet active and working. No spam comments. Don't know how to get rid of it.

I would suspect you have been hacked. Go do a google search on 'wordpress site hacked' and follow the directions people tell you to do.

What checks have you done?
Have you checked all the theme option areas for that code?
Have you checked any of the theme files for that code?
