Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hi,
my page: http://www.footyamsterdam.nl/
doesn't work anymore since a few days.
I use Atahualpa (with some small modifications I made) and WPML (the actual version).

The page works in my main language, but not in my other language anymore. The theme totally disappears. Has anyone a solution? I know there exists an Atahualpha/WPML plugin or theme. Is this necessary?

PS.: My page works with another theme perfect.

One major issue I see is that at least some and maybe all of the pictures in the slide show on the bottom left are way too big. One I looked at was 1.7 Gb and another was 1.5 Gb. That's Gigabytes. For the size they are showing they should be maybe 10 or 20 Kb at best.

Additional info...
I also see that the images in the main slideshow are gigantic. Really... These have to be optimized and resized for the web.

You're right, thanks. The photos are way too big (my customer embed them). I changed that!

But the problem still stays the same. The theme disappears with my english page. Even if I setup a new language the theme isn't working.

I would check with the multi-lingual plugin author. From a quick read it seems to say it need BuddyPress and I believe there are, or were, some tweaks that need to be implemented in Atahualpa but that might have been fixed in the version you are running.

Are all your plugins up to date? Have you double checked all the language settings? What are the "small modifications" you made to Atahualpa?

Thanks guys for your help. I updated all the plugins. But this didn't help.

The only way how it worked was to build up the theme totally new (after copy pasting all the content in an editior).

Now it works again.
