Shareaholic and Version 3.7.1

Hi guys!

I'm having problems with Shareaholic appearing properly since I've upgraded to 3.7.1. (It works fine on earlier 3.6.7 version of Atahualpa.)

If you go to my site in question, you'll see text links instead of the Shareaholic graphics.

On the Shareaholic FAQs, it says the following if the graphics are not appearing:

"Check your theme's header.php file for <?php wp_head(); ?> within the <head> and </head> tags. In your theme’s footer.php file, check for <?php wp_footer(); ?> just before the <body>. If it is not there, then the plugin is unable to hook the stylesheet into your document, thus making it impossible to display the icons."

I found the first string in the header.php, but did not find the second string just before the <body> in the footer.php file. I found the string inside of a cell AND it's the same place as in version 3.6.7 yet it works in the older version and not in 3.7.1.

Am I making sense? Any suggestions?

I think the meant to say look for it just before '</body>' not '<body>'

Yeah, I thought of that, too, but I am hesitate to change the footer.php to put it there.

Which leads to an interesting observation: There is a </body> but no <body>.

And the puzzlement that <?php wp_footer(); ?> is in the exact same place as it was in version 3.6.7. The plugin worked in 3.6.7 but doesn't work in 3.7.1.

Should I take a chance and move <?php wp_footer(); ?> to just above </body>?

Sexy Bookmarks is working on my 3.7.1 test site. Maybe play with some of the settings?

the '<body>' is in header.php - the start of the body of the page and
the '</body>' is in footer.php -the end of the body of the page

Hi Larry and Juggledad -

Well, I have made the settings the same as on one of the sites with the older version of Atahuapla and on which Shareaholic works. Perhaps it's because it's a preview dns site. I'll know when we take it live in a few says.

And Juggledad - I am not familiar enough with PHP to know you could do that! Thanks!
