Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

What's the advantage of a WP shopping cart plugin vs. stand alone cart program?

The company I work for sells business checks and imprinted items. I am looking at installing a shopping cart on the web site.

I am trying to decide a). whether to get a stand alone shopping cart platform like ShopSite, Pinnacle Cart, or others or b). whether I can make a shopping cart using WordPress.

My problem is described in the body of this post below:

I have got two questions:

Question 1-a.) Is there a WordPress shopping cart plugin that will do what I want?

Question 1-b.) If so, which one would be the best?

Question 2: What would be the advantage of using a WordPress shopping cart plugin as opposed to one of the stand alone shopping cart platforms?

For our business checks we must have the following information from the customer:

- bank routing number
- bank account number
- bank fractional routing number from check
- bank name
- bank address (about five input fields for bank address)
- company name
- company address, phone number (four input fields for this)
- plus several other radio button, text input fields describing what kind of check they want

The company sells about 2,000 different imprinted products. Each of the products comes in different quantities.

Here's an example of a pricing tier for just one of our products:

Below are the shopping carts for two of our competitors:

I want a pricing grid something like this one:
All of the products on the left are similar to the number of products we've got.

This one shows all of the input fields that we need:

Here is our company web site:
(I use the Atahualpa theme for it)
