Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

[SOLVED] Place image in container at specific height

I'm converting a site into WordPress. The old site was laid out with a background image working with a container image in the middle. However, the container image is about 100 pix down to specifically work with part of the background image.

I've placed the container image into the Container options as a background. Can I bump that down a specific length using margins or calling the image differently (not using background)?

I suppose I could always just merge the two images into one. But I'd like to replicate it as authentically as possible if I can. Thanks!

First off you started working with the demo settings for showing an add in the header. I would suggest you go and copy everything that is in ATO->Add HTML/CSS Inserts->CSS Inserts to a text document, delete everything there and then look at the site. You can add pieces back in to see what they do and dump any you don't need. Doing this will get the image to span the the header area.

In addition, go to ATO->Style & edit HEADER AREA->Configure Header Area and remove
HTML Code:
<!-- To remove the ad altogether, start removing here... -->
<div style="position:absolute;top:20px;right:20px;width:728px;height:90px;background:#ddd;">
<!-- Put the ad code BELOW this (and remove the sample text if there is any) -->
728x90 ad code here. Edit Atahualpa Theme Options -> Style & Edit HEADER AREA -> Configure Header Area and put your code inside the DIV
<!-- Put the ad code ABOVE this -->
</div>
<!-- End removing the ad here -->

Hi Juggledad,

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I might not have been clear on what I was needing. This is the image that I want to place about 50px down:

http://www.capayorganic.com/images/edges.png

If you go to www.capayorganic.com/indexwp.php, you can see that it's flush with the top. Compare to the original design at www.capayorganic.com and you can see it's aligned down below the image of the rope.

Right now, I have that image as the background for the container. Should I place it elsewhere or can I code it to place it down?

Got it! Messed around with the relative placement in the container.
