I searched for similar threads but couldn't find anything updated.

I want to place a thumbnail of my author gravatar next to "Posted by" in the kicker or footer. I've tried several plugins but all are so huge. I just want a simple thumbnail, not a whole new line with lots of info.

Is this possible?

Have you tried just adding an image via HTML code?

I was wondering about the same thing. Now that the Google authorship is becoming a "thing", it makes more and more sense to include the authorship link in the post footer (which tends to look kind of naked without an avatar).

Adding it in HTML would work, but only if the blog is maintained by just one person. The moment multiple contributors start posting content, that becomes an issue
