Static sidebar - can it be done??

Hello all!

I've got a site for my band all built and running great using the Atahualpa theme.

I have an MP3 player widget in the left sidebar, and want to know if there's any way to make it (or the whole sidebar, or both sidebars - I don't care) completely static.

Right now, if you play a track from the player, it stops when visiting another page. Gotta stop that somehow!

All my pages use the same sidebars, so a "frames" style setup where only the center column changes would be fine.

Any ideas? Please understand that I'm somewhat of a newbie with this, so I will ask for some instruction!
