Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

the new WordPress menus are not supported in Atahualpa until version 3.5.3 which you can get here: http://wordpress.bytesforall.com/?p=94
Make sure to go to the 'New Versions and Updating' forum and apply the BUGFIX's

yes you can - the settings and your blog info are all stored in the WordPress database, you will just be changing the theme's code. read 'HOWTO: upgrade Atahualpa to a new version' in the FAQ section
http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=8520 and follow the manual directions.

nope, the menu code is more than 400 lines of CSS. You can go play with that if you want.

if you might want to look at putting it in the header configuration or using a new widget area.

I would suggest making a copy of the site and installing it in a subdirectory so you can use it a a 'sandbox' and try the changes out without effecting the live site. That way you can play with things and if you mess up you can just start all over.

In addition it will get you familiar with backing up your site AND recovering it.
