How do I get rid of the bar between the header and the rest of the blog?
With some theme styles (default for example) you will see a gray bar at the top of the posts. This is part of the Next/Previous navigation box. If you go to ATO>Next/Previous Navigation there are several places for styling the various boxes. Look for a border setting.
