Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

WP Download Manager has minor conflict with Ata

Hi everyone,

So I installed Download Manager on one of my ata sites for a client. It's a very rich, full-featured plugin, but does not have good support.

Basically, the plugin works by creating a page for each download package. These "package pages" are not listed in the dashboard along with the regular pages, but have their own menu item. The problem I am having is that while I have comments turned OFF for pages in the theme, the comments box is still appearing on the "package pages." I simply want to remove the comments box from these pages.

Can anyone suggest help?

The only response I got from the author was to manipulate my theme's "single.php" and resave it in the same theme folder with the name "wpdmpro.php". However, Ata doesn't have a "single.php" file.

Thanks!

forget I said this... ---> I just realized there is the same problem with "All in One Events Calendar." <----

The problem does not exist on the calendar pages actually. That's because the normal check-boxes towards the bottom of the edit page that say, "allow comments" and "allow pingbacks" are still there when you are creating or editing an event.

However, when creating or editing a "download package" those check-boxes are not there, and hence it defaults to allow comments.

Any help would be appreciated. This is the only thing stopping me from launching this client's site.
