How to use css/html/ or whatever necessary to get my logo/header area looking like yours with date, RSS and search all displayed together.

Just turn them all on in the theme options. Style & edit Header area and RSS Settings.

Found nothing to have the date there...

I have seen plugins for that and there is javascript you can find online. The plugin or the javascript that you could be just about anywhere in the theme options would then need to be positioned with CSS. This is NOT a click here and it shows up situation.
