On my post categories, I usually insert older writtings as url. On this posts, every linked article get a /category/ which corrupt the link and get the famouse "not found" message.

What the hell is wrong? :\


For instance cat menu bar:

the inner link of "Mastercard pré-pago" is

http://www.lowcostportugal.net/categ...tivas/2010/02/

but the original is

http://www.lowcostportugal.net/compa...tivas/2010/02/

I'm not sure I understand what you are doing.

Are you saying that you create a category and the category name is a link? Or are you creating a post and putting a link in the post and something is messing up?

What do you have in your WordPress Settings>Permalink>Optional>Category base box? You could try taking "category" out of that box and see what happens.

A question though is how are you getting the links to the articles in question? Do you go to the article and copy the url or are you using a link to post plugin?

I've it in blank. No "category" or other name on it.

I don't use plugins for links. I just copy the url.
Outside the cats bar, the article is ok and their links also. The same if i went to my blog via google.com
When I check the articles in cats bar, the links to every article gets the /category/ such as:

http://www.lowcostportugal.net/categ...tivas/2010/02/

It's weird.

One thing is the cats bar will show links to categories, not individual posts. If you want a link to an individual post you should just be able to go to the single post page and copy the url. I prefer to use the Link to Post plugin.
