[SOLVED] sub menu items wrong background color

Hi,
Maybe I am missing something ( again!).
But if you go to http://50.87.195.136/
you will see that I have spread the menu bar across the length of the body and spaced the links.
but the sublinks have a white background...= any hints of how to address this?
The code so far:
