[SOLVED] Removing arrow space from drop-down links - old solution not working

I have a parent page with dropdowns; I got the arrows to disappear using this:

div#menu1 ul.rMenu-hor li.rMenu-expand a {
background-image: none;
padding-right: 5px !important;
}


However, I still have the space where the arrow goes.
I tried removing the padding-right line, still has a space.
