Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Widget in head area

Hello,

I am trying to place an image (co. name, address, etc.,) horizontally aligned with the logo image and right aligned on the page.

I've tried adding widget areas in the header and tried following instructions in the theme options and various other posts and get WP errors, etc.,

Perhaps a widget is not the best way to go. The URL is http://islandbeadcompany.com/.

Can you make a suggestion for me?

Thanks so much, Pam

A two cell widget area in the Configure Header Area box in place of %logo should do the trick. What kind of errors did you get?

Hi Larry,

Thanks for the response.

I like the logo area so was trying to just keep it and put something on the right. I'm not sure how to recreate the logo. I've never tried putting an image in a widget.

I tried putting widgets in the header after %logo. Then when I tried putting a text widget in one of the new widget areas the little gray circle came up and wouldn't quit. Then if I tried to do anything with the widget I moved in (like move it out or delete it) I got a blank screen with a message like "are you sure you want to do this" or something like that. Then the only way out was closing my browser. It was just a simple text only widget.

Anyway, that's my story

Probably the easiest way would be to create a logo image the way you want the header to look and don't show the Blog Title or Tagline.

BTW what shopping cart plugin are you using and have you had any "issues" with it?
