[SOLVED] Header widget background won't change color

I have created a custom header widget for an image and email sign up and i can't get the stupid widget background to change color.

The custom widget is called "image" FYI.


I have tried the following:
#image {
background-color:#FFFFFF !important;
}

#image .bfa_widget_area {
background-color:#FFFFFF !important;
}

#text-2{
background-color:#FFFFFF !important;
}

I have even tried doing inline CSS in the widget:
