Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Changing the background color in optional widgets

I am using the optional widgets to put images in my header. I was able to change the background for widgets 1 and 4, but I can't seem to get the background in widget 2 to change color. The site URL is: http://artillerytools.com/wp.

Thanks so much for your help.

1) it looks like you have 'magic quotes' turned on on your server. check with your host's support and find out how to turn them off
2) what is teh CSS youused to try to change the background?

I have contacted my host about the magic quotes issue. The CSS I tried was a simple {background:
#ColorNumber;}. I think part of my problem is knowing where to place it (as in, I don't) because of the way Atahualpa overlays WP's existing templates.

Thanks,
Eva

And what did you use as a CSS selector or where did you put that CSS?

What do you mean atahualpa overlays wp's default templates?

I tried putting it in the Additional CSS section.

As far as the overlay, I was just being unclear. Because Atahualpa has its own header settings, I wasn't sure which header template file the CSS should go in.

The fuller CSS was:

.headerwidget {background: #colornumber;}
