I currently am using the Atahualpa 3 theme. My website, www.marilynkelleyart, is hosted on hostgator. The website was entirely set up for me, so I don't really know any programming. I love my website and want to keep it just as it is, but want to change the name. I've purchased another domain. I've been told that I can point the new domain to my current nameservers, but I don't know what else I have to change to update all my pages to the correct url. Am I making sense??

The easiest way to do this is forward the new domain name to the current domain name. You would typically do that on your registrar. You could also use a tool like BackupBuddy to move the site to a new domain name. BackupBuddy will take care of all the heavy lifting but still requires some knowledge.
