Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

How do I keep new 3.6.4 install from importing prior settings?

I'd like to have multiple settings for various Atahualpa installations, to try out different configurations with users.

I've noticed that whenever I install a new version (even though I keep the folders named different), they always inherit the data/attributes. How do I keep them separate and is there a way to upgrade to a new version and specify which of the 3.6.X-1, 3.5.X-2 installations it inherits configurations from?

Similarly, if I install 3.6.4 (or any version) can I do a "RESET" and have it just apply to that theme folder?

The theme settings are stored in the WordPress database. If you want different settings, I suggest you create a setting with a release and then export the settings.

As it is when you switch to the new version of the theme, you use the same settings

Got it. I recently tried to copy/replicate to a dev server (the new install had its own sql db) and the only way I could do it was to restore from the prior database and change the database pointers to the new url (as opposed to doing an export/import via wordpress and the theme as you mentioned above - it wouldn't track any of my widgets/plugins, etc.). I think this explains why.

Thx. Next question to follow (time to ante up a bit more in the kitty - great support!).
