Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Links to post from Google search are wrong

I noticed today that if I search for a particular post topic on my blog via Google, it provides the wrong link to the post. For example, a search for a particular cocktail I blogged about a few weeks ago brought this link:

http://kellymagyarics.com/2009/11/il...iss-manhattan/

But that's not the right link--the permalinks don't have the date included in them. The permalink is:

Permalink: http://kellymagyarics.com/ill-take-a-miss-manhattan/

I must have changed something at some point, but I don't know what or how to change it back. Can someone help me please--readers aren't going to get to the right content on my site--they just get to the homepage.

Thanks!

ATA 3.6.4 and WP 3.1
You probably changed your permalink settings after Google indexed your site. Eventually Google will find the new URL and drop the wrong URL, but that can take time...if in fact you want the permalinks they way they are now, without the date. Meanwhile I suggest installing a Redirection plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/ which will ensure that all visitors using the old URL will be redirected to your new URL. Also, run a check to see what URLs Google has indexed http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...ymagyarics.com and make a redirect for every "wrong" URL.

If you want to change the date back in, see Settings > Permalinks.

Thanks--I think I'll wait for it to reindex because I have a lot of posts to redirect.

One other thing--when I search for some posts, I see that Google just returns the link to my homepage, not the individual post. Any idea why this is happening?
