Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

[SOLVED] Problem with putting links inside posts

I really enjoy using this theme -- it is by far the most customizable of all the WordPress themes I have seen. I am having an issue, though, when I place external links inside my posts. For some reason, it adds my blog's url before the link, so that it won't work. I have to end up removing the link so that the person who clicks it doesn't get a "page not found".

I also use Atahualpa on another blog, but this doesn't happen on that one. I have no idea what I may have done to cause this to happen. Please help!

Thanks.

how are you building the link? Show an example.
Which editor are you using?

I just type up the web site address inside my post, such as: for more information, visit www.childrensproductrecalls.com I tried typing the link in both visual and html views, but no luck. I don't have any problems linking to pages inside my blog, it's only when I want to link to another web site.

I don't do anything other than that or use any special editor. I did notice it started happening when I tried to add a "read more" link to a sticky post.

so are they suppose to be working links? i.e. you can click on it and it will take you to the new page, or just text that happens to make up a web address i.e.
HTML Code:
please go to mydomain.com for more info
vrs
HTML Code:
please go to <a href="http://mydomain.com">mydomain.com</a> for more info

Please edit a post in question. Select the HTML editor. Copy the entire post text. Paste it into a reply here after clicking the HTML button just above the box the reply goes in (this will surround your paste with [HTNL][/html] so nothing will be lost)
