I was wondering how to turn off the shadow inside the forms/text files (e.g. the "search" box). I can't find any options for that, neither could I find anything in the .css - which might be because I am just beginning to understand css...

Ah, fixed it. It's the inputbackgr.gif in the /images folder. replaced it with a plain white one.

You can also delete the contents of Theme Options -> Forms -> Form fields: Background image
