I would like to put links to pages like Contact, Privacy Policy, About, Disclaimer, etc. in three columns in the footer of my site. I want the three columns to be above the copyright info. How do I do this?

You could use a three celled widget area in the footer. The instructions are in the Add New Widget Area section of the theme options.

Alternatively you could put a three celled table or floated divs in the footer.
