Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Using WordPress 2.8.4. and the AdSense-Deluxe, atahualpa 3.4.2. all has worked well until recently not sure if it is an IE 8 issue or not as it works in Chrome or FF. Ads in explorer 8 extend into right sidebar. Please take a look at http://www.gymwatch.com and post here if you notice the same issue and any suggested fix. Thanks

This is what I insert to include ads in a post using adsense.
<p style="text-align: center;"><!--adsense#image--></p>

Following is the script inserted by the adsense plugin. The above mentioned problem appears to be only in explorer 8
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-9754201119147974";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 60;
google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
google_ad_type = "image";
//2007-03-02: Gymwatch
google_ad_channel = "6751944494";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

Help from anyone appreciated.

Does it work in FF2/FF3? Right now I don't see any ads although I see the adsense code in the source code. There should be no IE8-specific issue as Atahualpa will ask IE8 to emulate IE7. So you would have a IE7/8 issue then. See if you can get it displaying in the Default theme. This might be an overall issue with i.e. the usage or the settings of the plugin.

Yes it works in FF 3 the first two recent posts did not have any ads inserted the third did on the home page. Try this link http://www.gymwatch.com/?p=909 when I view this in IE 8 it goes into right sidebar should be both image and text ad showing top of article.

Are you sure? I don't see an Adsense ad anywhere on http://www.gymwatch.com/?p=909 in FF3 (or IE8), only an Amazon ad at the bottom of the left sidebar

Here is a picture of the page viewed with firefox 3.5.3 and Explorer 8 the google ads are different but you will notice in the one pic explorer 8 view the ads run into the sidebar. You see no ads when you view this page?

I reduced the size of the sidebars to get it to show almost within the centre column. I had made no changes prior so not sure why it started showing into the right sidebar. Possibly something to do with my screen setting 1024 X 768 pixels? Although the problem was only in Explorer 8 as far as I know. Thanks

The ad is probably not being displayed in Germany I guess. I suggest that you set a minimum width for the whole layout

OSX 10.11.5 WP 4.x Atahualpa(all) Safari, Firefox, Chrome
Actually this problem happens with Safari and Firefox on the mac And I suspect it would showup on Firefox on the pc if you make the window smaller. The two images you posted show a difference in size, the first images has all teh words above the add on one line, while the second shows them on two. This would only happen if the window had been reduced or was on a smaller monitor.
