Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home6/becomio3/public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_header_config.php on line 279

I made the mistake of changing code where I shouldn't have I guess and now I can't even get back into the site - www.becomingaprayingcongregation.com

I need to know how to fix this because I'm on a deadline for work.

Please help if you can.

Did you change code in that file? Sometimes it's easiest to just go in via FTP and replace the broken file with a clean copy from your original download of the theme.

I did change the code but I didn't save the original code beforehand. I'm not able to get back into the site at all - not even the admin.

I meant going in via FTP. Or was your Wordpress installed by your hosting company? I see you are on Bluehost, so you might need to get their support staff to help you. Maybe Juggledad has some other ideas? If you know your username/password for FTP access, you'd be able to use FTP to go in and replace that damaged file.

Sorry. After I replied I realized what you were saying.

I installed to a hosting service. I can go into the file manager and pull up the different php 'files' but I'm not sure what to do from that point.

I'll check with Blue Host. That sounds like my best bet.

I know how upsetting this is!

You can ask Bluehost to reinstall a fresh copy of the file public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_header_config.php because you altered it and cannot now access your Wordpress admin area.

Or you can do it yourself if you can see the version of the theme, and just upload the bfa_header_config.php file in the functions folder, from the copy you have on your hard drive. That's assuming you did this installation yourself, rather than having Bluehost do it.

Alternatively, if you feel trusting, you could leave me a private message here with the FTP login info, and I can take a look.

Blue Host was able to restore everything back to normal. Thanks!
