Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hi all!

I'm not quite sure if my post is exactly for this section of the forum, so, please forgive me if I'm making a mistake.

First, I want to say one big Thank you to the developers and I will donate in a few days, when my credit card will be feeded with some money... Anyway, I'm going to the Second part:

Here is my site: http://www.libvar-ref.info/
It's under development, you can see that, I'm working on the design, the content will come later. But, as you can see, there is a distance below the bottom of the main container. My Atahualpa is 3.6.1 and my Wordpress is the latest version too - 3.0.4. I've tried to remove the space with the paddings in Body, text and links section, but it only affects the top of the layout. That's in Firefox, in Google Chrome is OK. Can you help me?

Google Chrome doesn't display the shadows of the container. Is any chance to be fixed that?

And, last, with a couple of plugins I succeeded to display the post like an excerpts on the first page, but with any kind of magic I just could not make the thumbnails to display, as you can see that. Can you help me?

Thanks in advance!

1) the space below the last post and the footer is because the sidebar contents take up more room than the posts.

2) what shadows? - point to where they should be. Also what browser sees them?

3) look at the options at ato->Configure EXCERPTS. pay attention to 'Don't strip these tags'

Thanks for the fast reply, juggledad. There are two attachments: screenshots from firefox and google chrome. As you can see, there is a distance in firefox between the bottom of the site and the... screen, and in google chrome everything is normal (because I don't want that distance). And in FF there is a shadow, I like it, but in chrome it doesn't appear. And for the moment I can't do anything with the tumbnails. In "don't strip these tags"-section I've putted <img class="...">, but still nothing. I've tried those pluggins - Generate Post Tumbnails and Tumbnails for Excerpts, but seems they don't work at the moment. I'm still working on it.

Sorry for my terrible English.

P.S.
It seems the problem with the thumbnails was in the code I've used on my home page to make it in magazine style - every excerpt in its own column. I know the solution is in the forum for golden members... OK, I'll wait for it until next week. :/

shadows are created by the CSS that is used. Different browsers sometimes need different CSS to do the same thing, and some browsers (IE) have not implemented some of the CSS that other browsers can use.

So look at your CSS, and make sure you have the correct syntax for the browser that doesn't so what you want it to show. Use google to look for the correct syntax.

Just use <img> you don't put in the entire statement

I checked that. The syntax is correct:
box-shadow: 0 0 15px #333;
-moz-box-shadow: 0 0 15px #333;

But the shadow is still missing and the problem with the padding persists. The padding-bottom and margin-bottom values are set to 0. Look at that:

Firefox:

Chrome:

Any suggestions?

Edit:
Ahaaaa! Now everything is OK with the shadow. Chrome wants that: -webkit-box-shadow: ...
