Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Can't see the right sidebar

I tried to change something at the theme. It didn't worked well so I have deleted the theme from my server. Then I copied the archives again on my server. Now I can't see the right sidebar.
What was wrong? The left one its ok...

Have a look A.Theme Options -> Sidebars -> RIGHT sidebar: Display on:
If you've unchecked one or several check boxes there. Or footer.php might be missing.

This happened to me, too, after I auto-upgraded. It was working fine before the upgrade.

The right sidebar disappeared on http://www.renewchurch.org but NOT http://www.shakopeeteamproject.org or http://www.afa.tc

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the theme, and the sidebar is still gone.

All checkboxes are on in the "right sidebar" options panel. Footer.php is present. The right sidebar is visible in other three-column themes.

Any other ideas?

Okay, got it to reappear. Seems to have been a conflict with the Collapsing Pages plugin sidebar widget.

The right sidebar reappeared after I removed the plugin widget from the left sidebar.

I have this problem, but it only exists in IE. Firefox is fine and so is Opera, but bad old Internet Exploder just ain't having it!

My footer.php is present and my settings are for full sidebar action.....Mr Sidebar, come back, all is forgiven!

Additionally, I have deactivated all the plugins on the right sidebar other than the standard tags cloud (which are Amazon Showcase and Events Calendar) and it still didn't show....

anyone got any hints?

its www.alternativeanswers.net if you want to see for yourself in different browsers...fine in em all except IE

Further info: it actually works on all pages except the homepage in IE and I can't, for the life of me, find any setting that excludes the sidebar from the homepage...so....being back at square one..:

anyone got any hints?

you pesky Gremlins!

By the way, thanks very much for an awesome theme - its beautiful and perfect for my needs and how I want to present myself...its clearly a LOT of work so much respect and thanks...

That's caused by additional tags inside the post text inserted by MS Word. Seems you have pasted text directly from Word. Paste it into a plain text editor first, to lose the Microsoft formatting, then copy from there and paste it into Wordpress then. Or use the "Past from Word" button in the Wordpress editor but that may not always work as well as the aforementioned method. The reason it's working if FF etc. is those are ignoring the MS tags.

For the existing post, copy it either from Word again, or right from the browser window, and in both cases paste it into a text editor first. Then delete everything in the existing post and paste the fresh post (that was cleaned through a text editor) inside the WP editor again.
