Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

[SOLVED] Widget Areas

Sorry for being some dim on this. I am struggling to figure out how to use Montezuma. I think Atahualpa spoiled me.

How do you create a widget area? I've been reading through the theme options and its not obvious to me. I am assuming it has something to do with the template but it is not obvious to me how I would create say a footer widget area.

Thanks!

Do a search for "widget" in the "Limited PHP Code" drop down. There is an explanation there.

Okay, I get it. That seems simple enough. But that only seems to work for the "sidebar". What if I want widgets int he footer?

I'm not sure what you mean. I just put the new widget code in footer.php template and it worked fine.

Thank you. I was trying to add it to the index.php under the footer bit in that file. It's starting to make sense. Now if I can figure out the Catchable fatal error
