I've been trying to figure out how to disable the animation of the blog post picture.
I found PATCH 113-01 but now the picture doesn't have the frame.

Any idea how can I have a non-animated picture (I only want color picture) with the frame?

Well there are a couple things you could do
1) in postformat.php, in the bfa_thumb remove the last two options then add some CSS to style the border
2) in postformat.php change the class names in the bfa_thumb code and add css to style the border
3) in postformat.php change the class names in the bfa_thumb code, find the existing code in the post.css and change the class of 'post-thumb' to what you changed it to in the bfa_thumb
