Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hello.
(I am playing around with wp and atahualpa to see if this should replace my existing phpBB forum - nothing to worry about...) - Semantically, this thread fits under "Comments, trackbags, and pings", "RSS feeds and subscribing", and "sidebars and widgets". As I cannot judge where to put this, I've put it here:

Atahualpa permits me to have 4 columns: 2 center columns and a left and a right sidebar. My texts are displayed in both center columns.
I want to KEEP the left sidebar EMPTY for now, but I do NOT want to untick the boxes for the left sidebar for all pages, because then Atahualpa moves my text display over to the left sidebar (which I want to keep empty for now!).

However, if I leave all boxes for the left sidebar ticked (so that it is being displayed), then Atahualpa always displays 'comments' and 'categories' in the left sidebar, instead of keeping it empty!
I, however, want to display the 'comments' only in my "news" section, in both center columns, and nowhere else (and 'categories' I do not want to display at all).
(In other words, I want to use wp as CMS, limit the "blog" to the "news" section, and display texts nicely in the center.)

Has anyone here been able to figure out how to accomplish this in Atahualpa, i.e. how to KEEP the left sidebar, but EMPTY?

(Sorry, if I couldn't express myself clearer, I am sitting already for 20 minutes at this thread.)
Thanks.

Great, thank you! After spending over 2 hours to find a text widget without any borders etc and using it, I got it working!

Along the way I found many other cool widgets. Thanks.
