Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Images Not Wide Enough

Hey!
I'm not sure if this question has been answered already, but hopefully someone can answer it again if it has.

The images on my site are simply too small. They do not take up the complete center area, leaving too much white space between them and the side bar. Is there any way to fix this?

You can visit my site to see what I mean. www.AshleyGaGa.com.

Many Thanks!

You need to upload images that are wider.

Hi!
Thanks for your response. However, I really don't think the answer is that simple. I have uploaded an image that is 1000 x 2000px and nothing happened. All of the images are resized to a small proportion. When I alter the size of the image in my HTML view, the images re-crop themselves within that container. However, they never appear wide enough to fit the content area.

I feel like there is something holding these images into this space. But I'm not sure what.

Any guesses?

point to a image you feel is at issue, they all look big enough to me.

What are your settings in Appearance > Media?
When you put them in the post which size are you selecting?

Hi,
Thanks for responding!
In Settings>Media I have my Medium and Large images set at 800 x 1000.

I used the Inspector Element tool on my browser and found that none of my images are larger than 640 wide. Strange, because in my post editor, I set them all to 800 wide.

Strangely, the image borders seem to adjust very well.
However, the images themselves will not.
