@Neceros
Very nice. I like how you did away with the sidebars and styled the post container and the kicker/byline/footer area.

I'm a minimalist, so this layout suits me well. I've kept it basic so the theme is not going to impress anyone.

Here is my blog, redone in Atahualpa. This is the fourth theme this blog has used. Actually been around since 2003 but had a major crash in 2005 and lost the database prior to that time.

This theme has been awesome for my comedy site so far. I fooled around with it all day. Please check out my site and let me know what you think!

Hey! I like what you have done and how clean it is. I am not as novice as most, and have been trying to get my page topics below my header as you did, as well as create those drop down menus from the page tab. Can you shed some insight? Great job and your feedback is appreciated.

thanks, lotusheartsinbloom
for the navbar to end up beneath the header, go to the ATO-->style and edit header area and put this in the configure header area:
%image %pages
to get the menu to drop down, you need to make pages and children of pages, this can be done in the page creation area of your WordPress admin, where you can make a page have a parent page. You can also create the order in which the pages will be shown. They should drop down nicely all on their own then

Not a blog, but Atahualpha used as a CMS, and a very different header - The images below the logo form a horizontal sliding-door menu in place of the default image. Very much a work in progress, but you get the idea here: http://www.highsierradesign.com/test...teravencenter/

Thanks -- it took quite a bit of experimentation, mostly since I was new to Atahualpa - I know Wordpress very well. I insisted on doing it completely with Atahualpa's customizing features -- I refuse to modify core code in any theme! It's based on the mootools plugins at http://www.phatfusion.net.
In the end, it's pretty easy to do. If there's enough interest, I'll document it and post something under "Header Configuration & Styling".

OK, I made a stab at it -- see http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthr...1982#post11982 under Header configuration & styling
Hope it's understandable...

Just finished converting another site to Atahualpa. This one was static, but now uses Wordpress as a CMS. I was able to keep the same basic look and feel without editing any code.

I especially like some of the new features like the ability to create widget areas. Thanks, Flynn! I just donated a little more for your work on this.

I'm not owenl, but I use Sociable on one of my Atahualpa sites.
Atahualpa is designed to integrate Sociable. Just put %sociable% in the footer where you want it to appear. The instructions are on the ATA->Post Info Items configuration page.

Actually I didn't use BradBrown's technique - I just edited the loop in atahualpa - since I have to do that anyway for the two feature boxes at the top I just do a lot of this by hand - of course it means I don't update the theme itself as often because I have more changes to make than most

here's mine Love Shack, Baby it's a music blog
Any comments or critiques are very welcome!
And, jfrenaye, I'd love to know how you got the RSS buttons on yours without the email form box. I can't figure that one out so I've left the whole thing off.
