I will look into it, thanks

Is the orange glow around the letters a CSS text effect or is it the font you are using? Yes, I know, I could probably find it, but I am feeling lazy tonight!

It is drop shadow added to the font via css. Like this:
HTML Code:
text-shadow: 2px 2px 2px #E17901;
filter: dropshadow(color=#E17901, offx=1, offy=1);

Hi Madfrog,
The page does not get more basic than that. It is probably a cultural thing, but I like to look at sites that are "warmer" friendlier, more inviting and less "BUY ME NOW."
I would be tempted to put an image in the background behind the page. But like I said, it is personal preference only, your site looks perfectly functional.

Thank you Sharon, the lookups to Facebook & Twitter for the 'Like' & 'Tweet' counts are where the delays are for this site - though I'm seeing < 1sec page load time here?

Yes, much faster, whatever you did. How can you tell it is the FB/Twitter links that slow it down?

Thank you for letting me know Sharon - Pingdom has a bunch of useful tools which measure various things including page loading time on a per-element basis.

This is my website based on atahualpa: http://strictlyhonest.com
I would like to make it match my forum one day at godlikediscussions dot tk but I don't want to hassle with html settings because I have enough traffic and don't want to break it so I'm to scared to change anything.

This site has been up for close to a year but thought I would post it because it really shows the power behind this theme.
Is this a great site? Not really but was given a design by a graphic designer and had to match it pixel perfect. Many things wrong with it but we won't go into that. Client and graphic designer was happy, so I guess that's what counts.

I think without Atahualpa I would have given up. Even then I almost did. Thanks to Larry, I got past some tough things.

Here is a just launched Atahualpa site:
http://kroppedal.dk
It's for a danish museum.
The design was made by a graphical designer and I implemented it in Atahualpa.
These are some of the plugins used:

Here is a link to my Atahualpa website: http://www.paulgingell.co.uk
It's still work in progress, and the fonts are a bit temperamental, but the structure is working well. I'm particularly pleased with the multi-column format, which was much easier than I thought it would be.
I couldn't have done half of this without all the people on this forum asking questions and working through solutions. It's been a joy to use.

Paul - very nice site! clean and uncluttered - you get a pat on the back!
I did notice in the footer, the SUBSCRIBE doesn't do anything

Thanks! There are quite few links out of action at the moment. The Subscribe button will need some though, as I haven't yet worked out how a self-hosted Wordpress site works in an interactive sense. I'm thinking that I might create some kind of html email which people can sign up to, or perhaps I'll find an interesting plugin which does something similar.

Wow, Frank, that is one of the very best I have ever seen! Beautiful! Font is a little small for me, but I am probably older than your regular customers!

@ Paul Gingell
Nice site, Paul!! I never would have guessed it was Atahualpa at all. You sure are a talented photographer as well. Love the green fields and the little village on the About page. Will those ever be cards?
Anyways, the only suggestion I would have is to make your css and javascript external (ATO-CSS/Javascript- down at the bottom) It makes for tidier coding and brings your actual content closer to the top of the page.
I have also learned to my horror that some kind of backup plugin will save you a stroke sometime in the future. I use Backup to Dropbox.
