[SOLVED] Category Bar - removing "no categories"

I am not using Categories and would like to remove the words from the bar.

I found this reply to a similar message:

Why not remove %cats and use %bar1 or2 and style them as you want it to look?

But, I'm a neophyte and need to be told where to find that coding.
