I've searched the dashboard and the forums here, but I can't figure out how I can see how many people are visiting my site. Please help!

If you or your visitors don't have privacy concerns (such as, Google shouldn't know everything) then I'd suggest Google Analytics.

Get an account, you'll get a piece of code, paste that code into the textarea at Atahualpa Theme Options -> HTML/CSS Inserts -> HTML Inserts: Body Bottom

The stats would be displayed inside your Google Analytics account, not inside Wordpress.
