I am trying to allow RSS and email subscription to only some posts, ideally by author but by category would also work. If anyone has experience or ideas about how to make this work i would be very grateful.

I wonder if this has been answered elsewhere? I am interested in it too. If the blog is not very focused, one would prefer to let visitors subscribe to a certain category only, rather than everything. What is the best way to do it?

this is a wordpress issue, not a theme issue, you might want to post this question on wordpress.org
