[SOLVED] Adding line breaks to footer

This is probably obvious to anyone who knows HTML or CSS, but might be helpful for newbies like me.

I wanted to add space between the copyright notice and the WP/BFA link line. The code <br /> added into the Footer: Content entry box worked fine. The line now reads

<br /> Copyright &copy; %current-year% My Name - All Rights Reserved <br />

(First one adds padding between copyright line and main body.)
