I've been searching and going through the forums and different guides but can't really seem to find anything about my problem.

In my list of articles, I would really like to give them a nice preview like here:

Nice, neat, clean-cut and with a picture instead of just linking with text.

Is there an easy way to do this? I don't know how to code but is there a plugin that will do it or anything?

The latest versions of both. 3.5.1 and 3.0 I believe.

And is there an easy way to go about putting thumbnails and excerpts on a page that isn't my blog in a neat order?

Last week I added a template to the gold forums tutorials that allows you to create a page and add a query to it to display all teh posts for a category(s) tags, or anything else you want. You could use it as teh basis of what you want to do. And I beleive there is a plugin that will make thumbnails from the images in existing posts.
