Is it possible to disable the custom fields and page options that version 3.4.4 puts into the post/edit screens?

bfa_ata_body_title
bfa_ata_body_title_multi
etc.

It is confusing my non-technical users when editing a post's title does not show up in the post unless the custom fields are also changed.

You can disable it by putting a hash sign in front of these lines in functions.php

# if (is_admin())
# add_action('admin_menu', 'bfa_ata_add_custom_box');

/* Use the save_post action to do something with the data entered */
# add_action('save_post', 'bfa_ata_save_postdata');

That seemed to do the trick.

The additional item to do is to delete the custom fields in each existing post.

you will have to do that by hand
