[SOLVED] Thumbnails with excerpts - not resizing or floating
I've spent several hours trying to get the "Post Thumbnails" with excerpts function to work. For the most part I have it, however the thumbnail height and width are being ignored. The full size image is showing and the text is not floating around it.
Here is a link to a category page: http://discontinuedkohler.com/category/faucets/cirrus/ Using WP version: 2.9.2 Using ATA version: 3.4.6 Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Doc |
are you using the default thumbnail or a plugin? I see references to 'shutterset' and 'ngg-singlepic ' (Next Gen gallery?) in the source of the post and this is not something that Atahualpa produces.
So how do you setup your thumbnails? Are you using the post thumbnail option and grabbing them from a NextGen gallery or what? |
I really had to look at this, go through some posts and re-read your question several times. I knew I was not doing anything to set them up. The issue was the "Post Thumbnail" in the Screen Options was not checked - so it was not showing up at all. It works great. As Wordpress grows and becomes more complex there are more settings in more places to keep updated.
Thanks again for the help - will donate again. One more question, is there a way to add thumbnails in bulk - or a piece of code to use the default image on the post as the thumbnail? Doc |
THUMBNAIL PROBLEM
I must be blind or something. I am unable to get thumbnail posts to appear on my test site www.economicnoise.com/tests. I have read way too many forum posts and responses on thumbnails and still am unable to get things to work. Here is what I have done: 1. Excerpts only 2. Tried to copy <img POST THUMBNAIL HERE class='wp-post-image' /> into Excerpt Box under Posts in WP-Admin. 3. Tried to include above directly in posts. At this point (and many hours of frustration), I am hopelessly lost and desperate for help. Does anybody have any ideas? Monty |
