footer loginout bug?

First, let me say that Atahualpa rocks! I'm experiencing what I think is a small bug in the footer configuration. I've added the %loginout% placeholder but it brings up an error when I click on the resulting link. This behavior is also referenced in this post: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/232924.

I've tried to mess with wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_footer.php but I can't quite get it right. Any ideas or is this already on the buglist?

I was sure I had already fixed that but that was in comments.php which had a similar issue. I am putting this on the To-Do list for 3.2.1 which is already overdue for release.
