category menu lists everything when item is selected.
good day to all!
I love this theme! Can do so much with it... my question is I have category listing on the sidebar using the categories widget. I have it set as such... Library - CD - Books - Newspaper if i click on CD, i would expect it would only bring up CD category. instead i get "Archive for the ‘’ Category" followed by every post made, in 'CD' category or not. Any idea why? the url is http://www .ramapoughlenapenation.org thank you. |
Are any of the 'extra' posts showing up members of a category that is a subcategory of the one you want? i.e Let's say books is a subcategory of research and fiction is a subcategory of books. You have post 'A' in the research category, post 'B in the books category and post 'C' in the fiction category.
If you pick Category fiction, you will only get post 'C' If you pick Category books, you will get posts 'B' and 'C' If you pick Category research, you will get posts 'A', 'B' and 'C' |
Hi and thank you for responding so quickly. :))
I only have it 2 layers deep, that is to say... Library is main -CD is sub of library -Books is sub of library -newspaper is sub of library If i choose CD, i get CD, Books, and newspapers. I'm trying to get CD only when chosen, Books when chosen, etc. Am I doing something wrong? |
Sorry for the delay in replying, my system crashed and I've spent the past two days fixing it (sigh...and it was because I did something dumb)
One thing I've noticed is that you are getting a line 'Archive for the ‘’ Category' at the top of the middle column. I do not see this when I try to recreate the problem. Have you made any changes to the Atahualpa code? -- specifically index.php? ----if so what? I'm looking for code with the word 'pagetitle' in it - if you find it, do a copy of the entire index.php and then press the little 'HTML' button just above where you type your post (second to last icon, next to 'php') then paste the results into the post |
